Teacher suspended for forcing students to draw own blood
A Kansas teacher is suspended for forcing a class of 50 student to all draw their own blood from the same needle. It was part of a biology experiment at Salina South high school
The teacher used the same lancet to prick the fingers of every student so they could analyze their own blood. Not only did she use bad judgment in using the same needle, the district says the teacher was supposed to use artificial blood for the experiment.
Kylie McMann was one of the students. "I can't really be like that angry. I mean, I hope she didn't mean to do it and I think she wouldn't because she's a good teacher, but I just hope that everyone, that they can like do something for us so that we don't get hurt or have any diseases inside of us or anything," McMann said.
The district says the risk of exposure to disease is minimal, but it is still in the process of setting up blood tests for all students. The teacher is on paid suspended leave.

Friedman Criticized Over Racial Comment
Candidate for Governor Kinky Friedman faces renewed criticism of racial insensitivity Wednesday.
That's after a year-old TV interview surfaced in which he said sexual predators should be thrown in prison and forced to "listen to a Negro talking to himself."
The independent gubernatorial candidate already was under fire for recent comments calling Katrina evacuees in Texas "crackheads and thugs." The remark was taken as a slap at black Katrina evacuees.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram and the Houston Chronicle reported on the uproar over an interview with Friedman aired on CNBC last year.
Friedman told the Star-Telegram Tuesday that anyone offended by his comment should vote for one of his opponents. His spokeswoman, Laura Stromberg, said Wednesday the fact that an interview from more than a year ago is resurfacing means Friedman's opponents are feeling threatened.

Steve-O Jacked It On Richie's Back!
Jackass-er, Steve-O, appeared on the Howard Stern show yesterday morning and confessed that he never actually had sex with Nicole Richie. He did admit that the jacked off on her back while she pretended to be asleep.
He said: "She had her back to me and she was dead asleep when I rubbed the first one out. I was, like, trying to wake her up when I was rubbing one out ... and ultimately I squeezed her hard enough the second two times she was totally awake. She never rolled over to face me. I was being so careful not to offend her in anyway because I wanted to be in those tabloid magazines!"
"She said, 'I just broke off an engagement,' and the truth is she wanted some publicity for something other than being skinny. It was a big publicity stunt. She would come pick me up. I donÂt drive. I think she called the paparazzi too. These muther effers were coming from all directions. I'm even giving interviews to the video paparazzi, and I thought this is the kind of scrutiny I WANT to be under. I want to be in the tabloids! I fuckin' loved it. I have no hard feelings. I don't think she has any hard feelings for me."

Man killed family, then raided the refrigerator
A man accused of suffocating a family of three methodically wrapped his victims' faces in duct tape, ransacked their home and then drove off while snacking on food he stole from their refrigerator, a prosecutor said Monday.
"He killed them!" prosecutor Matthew Geary said in opening statements, pointing at Ray Joseph Dandridge. "These people lay there three or four minutes before they lost consciousness -- unable to breathe, helpless."
Dandridge, 29, is charged with three counts of capital murder for the January 6 killings of Percyell Tucker, 55, his wife, Mary Baskerville-Tucker, 47, and her daughter, Ashley Baskerville, 21. He is charged with killing someone during a robbery, killing more than one person at a time and killing more than one person in a three-year period.
Prosecutors say Dandridge and his uncle, Ricky Jovan Gray, killed the family as part of a bloody crime spree that included the slaughter of a second Richmond family less than a week earlier.

Police investigate 'bizarre' foot licking at Wal-Mart
Police are investigating a "bizarre" incident in which a man claiming he was performing a religious ritual kissed a woman's feet Monday afternoon at the Perry Wal-Mart.
Perry police Capt. Heath Dykes gave the following account of the encounter:
About 5 p.m. in Wal-Mart at 1109 St. Patrick's Drive, an 80-year-old female shopper stumbled upon a man sitting in the floor of an aisle stocked with curtains.
The woman apologized for stepping on the man's fingers. The man told her he was participating in a religious ritual and asked for her help.
The woman, now alarmed, complied with the man's instructions to stand on his hands and then spit. The man began to lick the woman's feet.
Jesse James, a loss prevention officer for Wal-mart, walked up on the strange scene and recognized the man from a photo from the Americus Wal-Mart, warning about a similar incident there.

TIGER'S FURY AT WIFE 'PORN PICS'
BOGUS porn pictures of Tiger Woods's wife, Elin, published in an Irish magazine today caused an angry reaction from the US number one golfer ahead of the Ryder Cup showdown.
As foul weather affected preparations for both the US and European teams at the K Club, Tiger's mood reflected the conditions.
Picutres purporting to be of his wife Elin, 26, the daughter of a Swedish diplomat, have appeared on the streets of Dublin linking her with pron websites.
But Tiger defended his wife, a former bikini model, against the outrageous claims. He said: "It's hard to be very diplomatic about this when you have so much emotion involved, when my wife is involved like this.

Six Flags offers line-skipping pass to roach-eaters
Some people will do anything for money. But what would you do for a free pass on a roller coaster ride? If you're willing to eat a giant creepy, crawling cockroach, Six Flags Great America has a deal for you.
The park is getting ready for their annual pre-Halloween Fright Fest. And they have this new attraction they hope will bring more visitors, but the new attraction has also gotten the attention of the local health department.
The rides at Six Flags Great America attract thrill seekers. Soon there will be another park attraction. Madagascar roaches. They are about 3 inches long and look a bit different than the cockroaches we are used to seeing in the United States. But starting October 13, visitors can skip to the front of the line if they eat a live roach.
"What we're asking is that volunteers who want to eat a live Madagascar hissing cockroach will be able to go to the front of the line of their choice," said Jim Taylor, Six Flags Great America.
