Girl raped six times by cop!
It couldn't get ruthless than this. A 14-year-old schoolgirl was raped in a moving car by a police constable and two other people!
The incident occurred in Ghaziabad. The girl's father who runs a public call office alleged that when the girl was going to school when three men forced her into a car. When the girl resisted, she was beaten up and the rapists tore her clothes and gang raped her.
She was forced to indulge in intercourse six times till she became unconscious. Later she was dumped in an unconscious state on a pedestal.
The police have registered an FIR against 18-year-old Sonu and two others. But the authorities refused to disclose the name of the policeman involved in case. It was only after the victim told her parents that one of the kidnappers was wearing a police uniform, that the police came to know about the cop's heinous act.
According to Superintendent of police Govil Agarwal, a hunt has been launched to nab the accused persons.
It may be recalled that sometime ago a young woman from Ahmedabad was raped under similar circumstances in a moving car in Mohan Nagar area of Ghaziabad. She too was gang raped by three men six times. Although a grown-up woman, the victim fainted after forcible intercourse.
Tanked scientist loses deadly poisons after night on the town
Police have launched a frantic search for three bottles of potentially deadly poison lost after a Shimonoseki Mitsui Chemicals official who had been carrying them went out for a night on the town and got so drunk he can't remember what he did with them, police said.
About 50 officers are searching for the three 500-milliliter bottles of liquefied hydrogen fluoride, which the Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Law designates as being a toxic substance.
There has been a fatality reported after a person swallowed a spoonful of hydrogen fluoride solution with a concentration of 9 percent, but the missing substance, to be used to clean semiconductors, has a concentration of 10 percent and would probably prove fatal if consumed.
"It's extremely dangerous," a police spokesman said. "If you find it, let us know immediately."
Shimonoseki Mitsui Chemicals refused to comment on the case.
"It's still being investigated," a company spokesman said.
Police said the employee had been carrying the three bottles as a sample he received from a trading partner for research purposes during a meeting Thursday. But the man went out drinking on Thursday night. He returned home by taxi, but at about 6 a.m. Friday, he realized the deadly substance was no longer in the bag he had been carrying it around in and at 9 a.m., he reported the loss to the police.
Teacher still keeps vow not to shave until Osama bin Laden is captured
He has a special way of remembering 9/11.
It's a daily reminder and has been since shortly after the fateful day when terrorists commandeered commercial airliners full of people and crashed them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, killing nearly 3,000 people.
Five years ago, when that was happening, Gary Weddle, then a substitute teacher in Wenatchee, got so caught up in the news that he neglected to shave. A week or so later, he vowed not to shave until the chief of the terrorists, Osama bin Laden, was captured or proven dead.
Weddle did it as a personal reminder of the tragedy, but it became a reminder to everyone he knows.
He did it figuring it would be only a month or two before bin Laden was caught.
Now it's been five years, but to Weddle, 46, a vow is a vow. He still has the beard and despite frequent suggestions that he at least trim it, he's never done so.

79-year-old woman charged with trying to rob Chicago bank with toy gun
A 79-year-old South Side woman bearing a toy gun and a visor that read "Princess" has been charged with trying to rob a downtown bank.
Melvena Cooke was charged Wednesday with attempted bank robbery. She is free on $4,500 bond and was released into her daughter's custody.
Cooke walked into the Bank of America branch Tuesday morning and told a teller that she'd just come from the dentist and could only speak quietly, according to an FBI affidavit.
As the teller leaned in, Cooke whispered a demand for $30,000 and brandished a gun that turned out to be a toy, the affidavit says. Instead of handing over any money, however, the teller triggered a silent alarm and walked away.
Cooke left empty-handed after several minutes and then ducked into a nearby store, where she was arrested.
Officials said Cooke was dressed for the attempted heist in a black trench coat, sunglasses and a white "Princess" visor.
She faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted, according to the U.S. attorney's office.
Cop arrested over attack on schoolgirl in toilet
An off-duty police officer has been arrested after he climbed over a women's toilet cubicle wall and attacked a 17-year-old schoolgirl, police said.
Police sergeant Ken Notoya, 35, of Narita, was arrested for trespassing and inflicting bodily injury. He admits to the allegations, but investigators are still trying to find out the motive for the alleged attack.
The high school girl Notoya is accused of attacking sustained minor wounds to her mouth after the police officer allegedly held his hand over it to apparently stop her from screaming.
Chiba Prefectural Police officials apologized over the incident.
"This is not something that should have been done by a police officer supposed to ensure laws are obeyed," prefectural police spokesman Hideo Okada said. "We want to thoroughly investigate the facts involved and deal with the matter in the firmest possible manner."

Coach pays $25 to hit autistic kid
In the summer of 2005, it was the Falcons versus the Pirates in the T-ball playoffs of the R.W. Clark Youth Baseball League, and 8-year-old Keith Reese was the key Falcons player.
Yesterday, it was the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania v. Mark R. Downs Jr. in a Fayette County Common Pleas courtroom and, once again, Keith Reese was the key player.
Keith, who is now 9, testified that Mr. Downs, the coach of his T-ball team on June 27, 2005, offered him $25 if he would throw a baseball at an autistic teammate, injuring him so he would be unable to take part in the playoff game.
League rules require each player to play at least three innings.
Mr. Downs, 29, of Dunbar, is charged with two counts of criminal solicitation to commit aggravated assault, corruption of minors, conspiracy to commit simple assault and reckless endangerment. He and his defense attorney, Thomas Shaffer, rejected a December plea agreement offered by Fayette County District Attorney Nancy Vernon.

ATM reprogrammed to deliver more cash
Police were looking for a man who reprogrammed a gas station ATM to give out four times as much money as it should.
Surveillance footage shows a man walking into the gas station at 6:17 p.m. on Aug. 19, swiping an ATM card and punching in a series of numbers, breaking the machine's security code. The automated teller machine was reprogrammed to disburse $20 bills but record it was a $5 debit to his account, Virginia Beach Police spokeswoman Rene Ball said.
He returned a short time later and took out more money, but authorities did not say how much. The card was prepaid and can be purchased at several locations, so police are not sure who is behind the theft.
No one noticed until nine days later, when a customer told the clerk that the machine was giving out more money than it should.
