Word around the campfire last spring was that Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan had been shelved indefinitely because the studio thought it sucked. Now, with dramatic movies, a retreating release date is a sure sign of a cinematic shit stain, but with comedies it sometimes means that the jokes are so brilliant that they fly over the heads of the studio bosses (see Wet Hot American Summer, Office Space, Idiocracy). And judging from the episodes of Da Ali G Show that take place in LA, Sacha Baron Cohen’s sense of humor has the potential to be too smart for certain rooms on the left coast.

So basically, we didn't know what to think. And then the rumors started floating in. First, we heard that at a private screening with Director Larry Charles, Larry David became sick from laughing so hard. Then we heard that it absolutely brought down the house at the Toronto Film Festival. And with the recent rash of genuinely hilarious publicity stunts, we’ve officially made up our minds. But before he enters the comedy pantheon, we thought we’d take a look back at our favorite Borat sketches from the days of Da Ali G Show.

Court says yes to breasts

In what might just be one of the most important legal decision in Florida's history – almost certainly more important than the ones that gave George Bush the presidency in 2000 - a court has upheld a woman's right to mount political protests by exposing her breasts.

Elizabeth Book was arrested for baring her breasts in 2004, under a law that banned acts of indecency in public, including women going topless

The law she was protesting against, of course, was the same anti-toplessness law under which she was arrested.

While the court made no judgement on the rights or wrongs of the law against women showing their breasts, it did decide that if women were showing their breasts as part of a legitimate political protest against laws banning women from showing their breasts, then they were allowed to show their breasts.

Canada troops battle 10-ft Afghan marijuana plants

Canadian troops fighting Taliban militants in Afghanistan have stumbled across an unexpected and potent enemy -- almost impenetrable forests of 10-feet (three metre) high marijuana plants.

General Rick Hillier, chief of the Canadian defence staff, said on Thursday that Taliban fighters were using the forests as cover. In response, the crew of at least one armored car had camouflaged their vehicle with marijuana.

"The challenge is that marijuana plants absorb energy, heat very readily. It's very difficult to penetrate with thermal devices ... and as a result you really have to be careful that the Taliban don't dodge in and out of those marijuana forests," he said in a speech in Ottawa.

A FOUR-year-old boy has been accused of sexually assaulting several girls at an exclusive pre-school.

The boy has been withdrawn from the early learning centre in southeast Melbourne pending the outcome of a Department of Human Services investigation that began late last week.
The centre's principal said "a number" of students were allegedly assaulted and he had told parents and DHS.

The Herald Sun has been told at least five girls from two classes of 14 aged three and four were attacked in the centre's toilets and playground over two weeks.

A source said the boy had been voluntarily withdrawn by his parents after they were told of the sexual assault allegations against their son.

The school's principal said the number of victims reported was incorrect.

At least one student needed medical attention after she was assaulted.

Red Light Lands Screech Sex Tape

Red Light District has obtained the rights to distribute an amateur sex tape that stars former "Saved by the Bell" child star Dustin Diamond, aka "Screech," Red Light Distribution President, David Joseph, has confirmed.

Joseph told AVN.com that the company is planning to release the tape on Nov. 6. The title, which will be called Screeched, will be 51 min. and, like Red Light’s previous celebrity sex tapes, will include four or five Red Light District bonus scenes.

Joseph went on to say that he was approached recently by Phoenix-based celebrity sex tape distributor, David Hans Schmitt, who acquired the tape a few weeks ago.

Diamond, who shot the tape himself, is seen in a threesome in the video with two other unidentified women, including the performance of the much-mythed Dirty Sanchez (which involves the smearing of fecal matter — sometimes a mixture of fecal matter and semen — under the nose of the receptive partner after anal sex, either with a finger or the penis).

Ukrainian Company To Sell Musical Condoms

A Ukrainian firm has designed musical condom which plays music while in use. The prophylactic also boasts the ability to play music louder and faster as lovers reach a climax.

Grigoriy Chausovsky, from Zaporozhye, Ukraine and the designer of the condom said his contraceptive is fitted with a special sensor that registers when the condom is put on during lovemaking.

He said the latex device transmits a signal to a miniature speaker at the base of the condom which plays a melody.

Chausovsky told local media, "As the sex becomes more passionate, it registers the increased speed of the movements and plays the melody faster and louder."

Scroll Pan - Roll-up Frying Pan

Even though I rarely ever cook I still seem to have a kitchen filled with various pots and pans that like to get in the way. Since they’re all made of metals, a material that is notoriously difficult to fold they tend to take up more space than I’d like.

The Scroll Pan designed by Sam Hextall was created for the specific purpose of providing a usable cooking surface that could also be reduced in size for easy storage. The pan rolls up on each handle not unlike a paper scroll would, and can then be stored in a hanging sleeve to keep it out of the way when not being used.

And even though the Scroll Pan is clearly just a concept at this time the designer does suggest that products like diphenyl silicone which is plasma treated and teflon coated could be used to make an actual working model.

Sex Offender Found Living In Hole Behind Elementary School

A sex offender wanted by the Virginia State Police was arrested after he was found in a wooded area behind Mary Lee Clark Elementary School, where he was apparently living in a hole, according to a WJXT-TV report.

Timothy Primrose, 50, of Virginia Beach, was being held and expected to be extradited back to Virginia.

Primrose is a registered sex offender who was convicted in 1996 of attempted rape, forcible sodomy and taking indecent liberties with children in Virginia, according to the report.

St. Marys police said they received a tip about suspicious activity and followed an SUV to the area. Cpl. Shannon Brock and Oficer Christopher Snyder found Primrose in the hole, which was 4 feet wide, 8 feet long and 6 feet deep.

According to Virginia's sex offender database, Primrose was employed by a Virginia Beach plumbing company.

Primrose's daughter and her family live in the area. Police suspect someone had been delivering food to Primrose, and police said the investigation into who may have aided Primrose was continuing.Full Story Here

Death Penalty Sought In Videotaped Sex Killing

Prosecutors in Missouri said they would seek the death penalty for a couple charged with murder in one case and also facing charges in a videotaped sex killing.

A Clay County grand jury on Tuesday handed up a murder indictment against Richard Davis and Dena Riley in the strangling and suffocation death of Michelle Ricci. Her remains were found in May in a wooded area in rural Clay County.

Prosecutors said the couple's criminal history was a factor in their decision to pursue the death penalty.

The two are also charged with murder, kidnapping, sodomy, rape and assault in the videotaped sexual assault and strangling of Marsha Spicer in Independence.

Prosecutors haven't decided whether to pursue the death penalty in that case.

Clay County Prosecutor Dan White filed papers Tuesday in the case against Davis and Riley.

Arrest Reveals Basement Torture Chamber

Oakland police call it a torture chamber that frightened even veteran detectives. They say a 41-year-old roofer turned his basement into something out of "Silence of the Lambs," where he killed one woman and beat others. He was arrested Wednesday night.

This is a disturbing case where police have discovered what they call a torture chamber inside a house in the Dimond District of East Oakland.

Police have identified at least one person who was tortured there, but they believe there are more victims.

The suspect, Earl Stefanson, is in custody after a lengthy chase through Oakland and Hayward. Detectives believe the 41-year-old roofer brutally tortured and killed a woman he was dating.
