Prank Leaves Woman Glued To Mall Toilet Seat

A Council Bluffs woman was taken to an emergency room after she became glued to a toilet seat. It happened Wednesday at a public restroom at the Mall of the Bluffs. Investigators said they believe someone put some sort of cement compound on the toilet seat. Paramedics wheeled out a 53-year-old woman who got stuck. The Council Bluffs Fire Department said they believe the woman sat on a liquid cement substance, not bonding glue. They were able to free here after several minutes using fingernail polish remover. Paramedics said she suffered burns to her skin. She was treated at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. Investigators are now looking for the culprit. They are classifying the incident as an aggravated assault and criminal mischief. The victim told NewsWatch 7 by telephone that she wants people to know how physically painful the burns are to her skin. She said that having a number of paramedics free her from a mall bathroom is one of the most embarrassing moments of her life. She said she hopes the police find whoever did it, so no one else has to go through what she did.
